Fractional General Counsel for Mission-Driven Organizations Ready to Scale Sustainably
I’m a Fractional General Counsel for nonprofits and advocacy organizations doing good work in the world.
I help organizations protect their mission, their people, and their funding through strong legal boundaries, governance, and contract ecosystems. My approach blends traditional legal strategy with legal wellness — because burnout, conflict, and mission drift are risks, too.
I currently serve as President of MassNOW, where I’ve helped secure over $1M in grants supporting gender-justice advocacy and statewide operations. I advise boards, executive directors, and leadership teams on contracts (MSA, SaaS, vendor, grant), procurement, regulatory compliance, and administrative processes.
Before launching my fractional practice, I served as Associate General Counsel at the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission and as Assistant Vice President & Associate Counsel at State Street Corporation.
I work with organizations that want to do good — without sacrificing their people in the process.

You’re Growing. Your Legal Strategy Should Grow With You.
As organizations expand, legal needs become more complex — but hiring a full-time General Counsel isn’t always practical or necessary.
Fractional General Counsel services provide executive-level legal strategy, governance guidance, and risk management at the level your organization actually needs.
I partner with nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and mission-driven companies to design legal systems that protect both mission and leadership sustainability.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Legal Strategy Grounded in Legal Wellness™
My work integrates governance design, contract clarity, and leadership protection through a framework called Legal Wellness™ — the practice of building systems that allow organizations to operate clearly, sustainably, and responsibly.
Legal support should not simply prevent problems. It should create organizational stability and relieve structural pressure before it becomes burnout, conflict, or crisis.
